Course Description
Trust is essential to effective mediation—and emotional intelligence is the key to building it. In this practical, research-informed course, participants will explore how both logical and emotional signals shape decision-making, and how communication gaps can erode trust before conversations even begin. Through guided discussion and coaching, we’ll examine the impact of likeability, respect, and the “Halo effect” on client interactions, and how to use dual messaging strategies to align tone, content, and connection.

The course features hands-on training in reflective listening and introduces the “7 Levels of Nurturing™” model, offering a clear framework for assessing and deepening relational trust. Through interactive exercises, demonstrations, and real-world examples, participants will leave with actionable tools to lead more collaborative, trust-centered conversations. Whether you’re an experienced mediator, educator, attorney, or helping professional, this course offers valuable insights to enhance your facilitation skills and professional presence.

Review on: Nurturing Trust in Mediation

I was fortunate to be introduced to this course earlier this year. I enjoyed the course so much that I asked Vladimir to offer it to our mediator network and to focus the learning on how to apply these skills to the mediation room. I am so excited for you to experience this course. As a mediator, I've always felt like I had a good awareness of emotional intelligence (EQ) but through this course, I learned the science behind the EQ techniques that I use; which enables me to be more intentional about how and when to apply them in my mediations. If you already have EQ skills, this course will help you gain more control over them. If you are in need of EQ skills, this is a great course to get you started!
